V8 Supercars 2011

8th December 2011

Avflex once again treated its customers to the V8 Supercars at Homebush on Friday the 2nd of December. Leanne May and Clayton Morris took 22 guests to the practice day in Sydney for a day of action. They started off the day at 8:30am watching the cars and spent a lot of time at the XXXX stand.

Justin Grogan of Avflex who was present on the day had the following feedback on the event:

Friday was the first day for the Sydney Telstra 500. It was a practice day for the Aussie Racing cars, Touring Car Masters, practice 1 and 2 for the Fujitsu V8 Supercars, practice 1, 2, 3 and 4 for the V8 supercars, practice 1 and 2 for the Carrera Cup Porsches, practice 1 and 2 for V8 Ute Series Utes and first qualifying for Touring Car Masters.

The Telstra 500 precinct was surrounded by a carnival like atmosphere with a number of off track entertainment exhibits and car club displays including dragsters and bikes performing aerial stunts to an enthusiastic crowd. The bat mobile (mock up version) from the 60’s TV show was even there.

There were numerous grid girls hanging out in groups of three or more throughout the precinct dressed in various shades of lycra and some of the girls even offered sunscreen, with a smile.

For lunch, the team went to Ribs and Rumps and were faced with meals that could sink the Titanic.
In the afternoon, Jamie Whincup joined the XXXX stand and chatted with the Avflex customers and posed for photos.
The Avflex staff and their guests left at around 5:30pm after having such an exciting and busy day and are now looking forward to the event next year.
