Australasian Podiatry Conference 2015 Summary

Mason Grogan Medical recently exhibited at the Australasian Podiatry Conference 2015 which was held on the Gold Coast from the 6th- 8th of May.

We had a very successful show and couldn't have done it without the support of our experienced and knowledgeable suppliers who were there to assist on the stand.

This year we had representatives from Puzo, Capron, Voxelcare and Inmotus who were able to provide demonstrations and technical advice on their products.

Puzo are manufacturers of premium EVA's for use in the production of orthotics. Products are available in sheets or milling blanks and in a variety of shore A hardnesses.

Capron manufacture direct moulded orthotic systems which allow podiatrists to make orthotics for their patients while they wait.

Voxelcare make orthotic milling machines which work with any scanning system. It takes 8 minutes to make a pair of orthotics.

Inmotus supply orthotic materials and medical components to the podiatry industry in Europe.

Jeff McCreanor the Senior Sales Consultant for Mason Grogan Medical, presented his workshop to a full room with the assistance of Casper from Puzo, and Jean Christophe and Alen from Capron. The subject was 'Streamlining orthotic manufacture and extending material choice'. Casper explained how EVA's are made and difference between them, and Jean Cristophe and Alen demonstrated how to make an orthotic with the Capron system.

This year we gave away a delegates prize and an exhibitors prize. Both were Hoover robotic vacuums. Aleks Baruksopulo of Burleigh Heads Podiatry won the delegates prize and Kahlil Wilson of Orthotech Laboratory won the exhibitors prize.
